Over the past thirty years Andrew Shoemaker has represented plaintiffs, defendants, prosecuting agencies, subjects of investigations, and third parties in lawsuits, investigations, arbitrations, and mediations concerning fiduciary duties, corporate and partnership governance, securities, accounting, financial services, banking, patent infringement, and complex land use issues.

He is a former special assistant U.S. attorney for the District of Colorado, enforcement attorney for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, partner at an international law firm, law clerk to a federal judge, mayor pro tem and city council member for the City of Boulder, and chair of the City of Boulder’s planning board. Andrew has been recognized as a Colorado Super Lawyer since 2006 and in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business since 2008.

Currently, Andrew focuses his practice on representing white collar clients in regulatory investigations and prosecutions, conducting internal investigations, and serving as a neutral mediator in complex civil disputes.

When not at the office or spending time with his family, Andrew might be found somewhere in the backcountry following his bird dogs, floating a river, fly fishing, skiing, biking, or otherwise exploring. Until he hears banjos. Then he might grab a guitar or mandolin and join right in.
